Dr. Ehsan Kianfar is a highly productive researcher in chemical engineering with extensive expertise in catalyst science, nanotechnology, zeolite modification, gas separation membranes, and advanced material synthesis. His research spans the development of high-performance catalysts for critical industrial processes such as methanol-to-gasoline (MTG), methanol-to-olefins (MTO), ethylene-to-propylene (ETP), and dimethyl ether (DME) synthesis. He has made significant contributions to the design, synthesis, and optimization of nano-zeolites, SAPO-based catalysts, and metal-modified ZSM-5 structures aimed at improving olefin production, selectivity, and reaction efficiency. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed research papers in reputable international journals, including Microchemical Journal, Catalysis Letters, Colloid and Polymer Science, Macromolecular Research, Journal of the Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers, Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, and Silicon. His work covers diverse areas such as polymeric and nanocomposite membranes for CO₂/N₂, O₂/N₂, and C₂H₆/CH₄ separations, CO₂ absorption using hollow fiber membrane contactors, CFD modeling of reactive flow systems, and the characterization of novel nanoparticle-based functional materials. Dr. Kianfar’s research contributions include a patented nanocomposite membrane developed using isophthalic acid and aluminum nitrate for enhanced gas separation and water treatment. He has also written multiple books and book chapters with respected international publishers, particularly on zeolite catalysts, methanol conversion processes, nanomaterials, gas hydrates, ionic liquids, and energy optimization methods. He serves as a reviewer for several high-impact international journals such as Applied Catalysis A, Topics in Catalysis, ACS Omega, Progress in Natural Science, Reviews in Inorganic Chemistry, and others. His broad academic output reflects strong capabilities in experimental design, catalyst characterization, membrane engineering, and nanomaterial innovation. Driven by a commitment to advancing sustainable catalytic technologies, Dr. Kianfar is actively seeking opportunities to further expand his research in catalysts, separation processes, and advanced nanoscale materials.
