Mr. Qinjie Lin | Structural Engineering | Innovative Research Award

Chongqing University | China

Qinjie Lin is a researcher affiliated with Chongqing University, China, where he is connected with the State Key Laboratory of Power Transmission Equipment & System Security and New Technology and participates in engineering research related to mechanical systems and thermal-fluid dynamics. His work, as seen on academic networking sites like ResearchGate, shows involvement in both simulation-based engineering analysis and experimental studies of mechanical and thermal systems.  His publication record (as indexed on ResearchGate) includes research on the temperature and fluid characteristics of gear and transmission systems, particularly in aerospace applications. Several of his papers focus on numerical analysis of fluid and temperature fields in accessory gearboxes and fluid-solid coupling heat transfer in aviation transmission components, indicating expertise in leveraging computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element modeling (FEM) for engineering problems.  Earlier work by Lin also explores surface integrity and material behavior following shot peening, a widely used surface-strengthening process. These studies analyze how parameters like coverage and peening velocity influence residual stress, surface roughness, and microstructural characteristics of steel components—topics relevant to mechanical design, fatigue life, and manufacturing quality.  His research output shows a blend of practical engineering and theoretical modeling, with multiple articles and preprints that reflect both applied mechanics and thermal field simulation. The ResearchGate profile lists around 11 publications with hundreds of reads and dozens of citations, suggesting a developing academic impact in mechanical and aerospace engineering domains.  Although specific Scopus metrics (such as citation counts and h-index) weren’t retrievable from the provided link, his published work reflects active engagement with numerical analysis methods and applied research problems, especially in the context of energy transfer, materials processing, and mechanical systems common to advanced engineering research at contemporary Chinese universities.

Ms. Jawhara El Hmidi | Structural Engineering | Women Researcher Award

Faculty of Sciences | Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University | Morocco

EL HMIDI Jawhara, 27, is a Moroccan PhD candidate and engineer specializing in Embedded Systems and Industrial Computing. She is currently pursuing her doctorate at the SIGER Laboratory (FST & ENSA, Morocco), focusing on the architecture and optimization of intelligent embedded chargers for electric vehicles. Her academic journey began with a Scientific Baccalaureate in Mathematics (2015), followed by integrated preparatory classes (2015–2017) and an engineering degree in Embedded Systems and Industrial Informatics from ENSA Fez (2020). Professionally, she has gained significant experience as an Electrical/Electronic Architect at STELLANTIS (2020–2022), where she contributed to the design of REPAS vehicle functions, optimizing ECU wake-up/sleep modes and system power supply control. She also completed internships at LEAR Corporation, ALTEN, and CBGN, where she worked on ISO 26262 functional safety compliance, real-time monitoring tools, and industrial automation. In parallel with her research, she has established herself as a dedicated lecturer, teaching across Faculté des Sciences et Techniques de Fès, Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez, and the Private University of Fez. She has taught courses such as Parallel Computing, Human-Machine Interfaces, Advanced 32-bit Microcontrollers, Parallel Programming, SoC/SoPC, and DSP systems, with teaching loads exceeding 200 hours annually.
