Abstract

This article presents an academic profile of Jihao Fan, affiliated with Nanjing University of Science and Technology in China, whose identified subject area is quantum computing. The supplied bibliometric record lists 34 documents, 188 citations, and an h-index of 6. These indicators describe aspects of publication activity and scholarly attention but do not independently measure methodological quality, originality, or societal benefit. [1] [2]

Keywords

Jihao Fan, Global Scientist Day Awards, quantum computing, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, bibliometrics, research evaluation, scientific publications, citation analysis, h-index, quantum information science, academic recognition.

Introduction

Quantum computing investigates computational approaches based on quantum-mechanical principles, including superposition and entanglement. The field encompasses quantum algorithms, information processing, hardware architectures, error correction, and related theoretical and experimental methods. Research is evaluated through scholarly literature, reproducibility, technical advances, and the significance of reported results. [1] [2]

Research Profile

The supplied profile associates Jihao Fan with Nanjing University of Science and Technology in China and identifies quantum computing as the principal subject area. The reported bibliometric indicators comprise 34 documents, 188 citations, and an h-index of 6. These values are reproduced from the provided information and have not been independently audited for this article.  [1] [2]

Research Contributions

Research contributions in quantum computing may involve algorithm design, quantum circuit optimization, computational complexity, quantum information theory, hardware development, or error-mitigation techniques. Establishing an individual’s contribution requires examining specific publications, their methods, and the relationship between reported results and earlier work. The available information identifies Jihao Fan’s research area but does not supply a verified publication bibliography or descriptions of individual findings.

Publications

The supplied record reports 34 documents associated with the researcher. A publication assessment should consider document types, publication venues, authorship contributions, publication dates, corrections, and the relevance of each work to quantum computing. Journal articles, conference papers, reviews, and other indexed documents may have different roles across research disciplines. [1] [2]

Research Impact

The reported total of 188 citations indicates that the indexed documents have received scholarly references, while an h-index of 6 means that, in the underlying dataset, at least six documents have each received six or more citations. Exact values can vary between bibliographic databases because their coverage and update schedules differ. Citation counts reflect scholarly attention rather than a direct measure of research quality, societal value, or causal influence.  [3] [4]

Award Suitability

Global Scientist Day Awards is the event specified for this profile. The supplied research indicators may serve as contextual information during an academic recognition review, but they do not establish eligibility, nomination status, award category, or selection. A fair assessment would consider the event’s published rules, the relevance of the candidate’s research, verifiable scholarly outputs, originality, methodological quality, and evidence of contribution to the scientific community.  [3] [4]

Conclusion

The available information provides an academic overview of Jihao Fan, identified with Nanjing University of Science and Technology in China and the subject area of quantum computing. The reported bibliometric figures of 34 documents, 188 citations, and an h-index of 6 offer an initial quantitative description of scholarly activity.

Dr. Boris Wembe | Quantum Computing | Best Researcher Award

Dr. Boris Wembe | Paderborn University | Germany

Dr. Boris Wembe is a senior researcher at Paderborn University, Germany, specializing in optimal control theory and its diverse applications in quantum systems, geometric control, partial differential equations (PDEs), and machine learning. His research integrates analytical rigor with computational innovation, focusing on topics such as quantum optimal control, turnpike theory, and structure-preserving numerical methods. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier, where he worked on geometric and numerical methods for optimal control and Zermelo navigation problems. Prior to his doctoral studies, he completed a master’s degree in Partial Differential Equations and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon. Dr. Wembe’s research achievements include developing efficient higher-order numerical algorithms for quantum control using the Cayley transform, advancing the theoretical understanding of the turnpike property in control systems, and exploring the geometric and numerical aspects of Zermelo navigation problems within Finsler geometry. His works have been published in leading journals such as Physical Review Research, Mathematical Control, Signals, and Systems, and ESAIM: Control, Optimisation and Calculus of Variations. He is actively involved in mentoring master’s and bachelor’s students and has organized seminars and symposia promoting the intersection of optimal control and machine learning. Beyond academia, he is committed to promoting mathematical sciences among students through outreach initiatives and lectures across Europe and Africa. Dr. Wembe’s contributions have been recognized with fellowships, including one at SISSA (Italy), and grants such as the SMAI “BOUM-projects” for young researchers. His ongoing projects include studies on “Trim turnpikes for discrete optimal control problems with symmetries” under review by DFG. Fluent in multiple languages and skilled in computational tools like Python, Matlab, and Julia, Dr. Wembe represents a dynamic blend of theoretical insight, computational expertise, and educational leadership in applied mathematics.
