Genetu Tesfa is an Ethiopian postgraduate researcher in Environmental Engineering at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, specializing in water and wastewater treatment with a strong focus on the removal of antibiotics and pharmaceutical contaminants using advanced oxidation processes such as iron slag–based electro-Fenton systems. His research addresses critical challenges related to hospital wastewater pollution, antimicrobial resistance, and sustainable environmental remediation. He has published in SCI and Scopus-indexed international journals and contributed to nature-based treatment methods using vetiver grass, as well as waste valorization through composting and alternative fertilizers.
