Dr. Kedong Wang is a Professor in the Department of Aerospace Intelligent Science and Technology at Beihang University, specializing in advanced navigation theory and aerospace sensing technologies. His research centers on integrated navigation systems, particularly the fusion of Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), star sensors, and terrain information to achieve high-precision, robust navigation in complex and challenging environments. A major contribution of his work lies in terrain-aided navigation, where he has developed efficient terrain matching algorithms based on three-dimensional Zernike moments and other orthogonal descriptors, significantly improving matching accuracy, computational efficiency, and real-time performance. Dr. Wang has also made important advances in optimal estimation theory, Kalman filtering under time-correlated and colored measurement noise, and adaptive alignment techniques for low-cost INS with large initial attitude errors. His research integrates theoretical modeling, algorithm design, and practical validation for aerospace and spacecraft navigation applications. With more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals such as IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, Navigation, and Aerospace Science and Technology, his work has contributed substantially to the reliability and intelligence of modern navigation systems used in aviation and space missions.

Her doctoral research focuses on perinatal factors associated with the emergence of ASD in children and the implications for family dynamics. She contributes actively as a research associate in major public health, epidemiology, antimicrobial resistance, and global health indicator programs within the Department of Medicine at the University of Thessaly. Her expertise also extends to family planning, maternal mental health, menopause, postpartum care, and vulnerable populations. Throughout her clinical career, she has held key positions in family planning centers, obstetrics and gynecology units, oncology operating rooms, and primary healthcare services. She has played an instrumental role in revitalizing community-based family planning services, developing childbirth education programs both in-person and online, and delivering health education to students and the wider community on reproductive health, prevention, and women’s well-being. Her scientific activity includes numerous peer-reviewed publications, systematic reviews, epidemiological studies, and collaborative research across midwifery, public health, autism, reproductive health, multiple sclerosis, and maternal mental health. She has contributed to international and national conferences with oral presentations and e-posters, and she serves as a reviewer for reputable scientific journals. As head of an advanced carbon nanostructures research group, he has led major initiatives in the mass production of nanomaterials—including carbon nanotubes, graphene, nanoporous carbons, metal oxides, and hybrid nanomaterials—using scalable chemical, catalytic, and CVD-based processes. His expertise includes nanofluid development for enhanced oil recovery (EOR), drilling fluids, heat transfer systems, and next-generation fuel formulations. He has significantly advanced adsorption and separation technologies, contributing to natural gas storage (ANG), CO₂ capture, gas purification, and smart adsorbent design. His research also encompasses nanocatalysts for hydrogenation, hydrodesulfurization, heavy oil upgrading, selective H₂S conversion, and methane-to-ethylene catalytic processes. He has extensive experience designing and optimizing pilot plants, adsorption systems (PSA), nanofilter membranes, and large-scale nanomaterial production units.
