Qiushun Wang is a Professor-level Senior Engineer and joint master’s supervisor at Hohai University, recognized for his authoritative contributions to estuarine and coastal engineering. With a doctoral background in port, coastal, and offshore engineering, his academic and professional work centers on estuarine tidal dynamics, tidal bore mechanisms, numerical modeling, and forecasting technologies. He has established a strong interdisciplinary research profile that integrates hydrodynamics, sediment transport, coastal morphology, and climate-related impacts on estuarine systems. His research has played a pivotal role in advancing the scientific understanding of tidal bores, particularly in large and complex estuaries. Through high-resolution numerical simulations and three-dimensional modeling, he has revealed the dynamics of tidal bore propagation, energy evolution, turbulence structure, and sediment transport processes.
