Prof. Chun-Li Guo | Research Excellence | Research Excellence Award
Institute of Mineral Resources, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences | China
Dr. Chun-Li Guo is a distinguished Senior Researcher with over two decades of influential contributions to granite petrogenesis, tungsten–tin mineralization, and rare-metal resource geology. She earned her PhD in Mineral Prospecting and Exploration in 2010 and has since become a leading authority on the magmatic and metallogenic evolution of granitoids in South China. Her innovative explanation of progressive tungsten–tin enrichment through geological time significantly advanced metallogenic theory and earned recognition under the Wiley China Excellent Author Program. Her research has also delivered strong economic impact by redefining mineral exploration models, notably overturning long-standing interpretations of Pb–Zn mineralization at the super-large Shizhuyuan deposit. She has completed six major projects and currently leads four nationally funded and industry-supported research initiatives. Her scholarly output exceeds 20 peer-reviewed publications, with six first-author papers cited over 800 times. She has co-authored authoritative geological books and actively collaborates with internationally renowned earth scientists, strengthening global research exchange.
